The Overcoming of Complex Issues Involved In Listed Buildings!
The overcoming of the cleaning issues of the listed building, was one that required a lot of investigating, as the nature of the soft material, witch meant we ruled out a lot of process straight off. After consulting Heritage Scotland & other governing bodies, we now knew what type of product and method that would not be simpatic or allowed to be used on the well known long established land mark building. We contacted one of the suppliers we use regularly for cleaning materials, they could not offer any product designed just for this type of task, but after some data sheets were acquired by ourselves from the manufactures, we decided on the best product and practise of getting this building clean of graffiti and grime.
Using Quality Materials & Methods For The Best Results
This job carried some special criteria and conditions, that KKR SERVICES were more than able to carry out, incorporating such challenges as sourcing the best mach of lime putty mortar, for re-pointing of the sandstone facade. The building maintenance side of KKR were very able to adopt to the use of the lime putty mortar, for the pointing repairs, after a process of matching the exciting mortar colour and texture. This work alone carried more criteria, as no mechanical tools can be used, so it was back to the way the building was built many years ago, this concept was not any problem for our team of experienced tradesmen to handle.

All Saints Glasgow Project, was an opportunity for our company to demonstrate the skills and ability of carrying out such large scale projects from start to finish, and not over complicating the tasks of, Listed Building Cleaning and the restrictions on access to the city centre area, combined with public Health & Safety issues. All areas of the exterior project were dealt with fully in house from Scaffolding, Materials, and Health & Safety and all carried out to strict conditiones from a planed mandate, as was the brief of the client RTS Contracts, with is the way we like to work, this is the same for all jobs we carry out, from a small cottage to a large court yard.
The Time Scale
We only had a very short time to organise all aspects of this project, 3 weeks from the client contacting KKR SERVICES to the job being finished on the eve of the store opening. We are very proud of the work we carried out and being part of this project that is now an exterior ready to highlight one of the most amazing windows display, for one of the top, contemporary and stylish fashion retailers on the high street today.
